3 Days Magic of Masai Mara Safari

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi at 6 AM. Set off on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the breathtaking landscape. As you continue your journey, you will pass through Maasai villages and vast plains before arriving at Masai Mara in time for lunch at your tented camp. After a short rest, embark on your first game drive in the afternoon. Masai Mara is home to the “Big Five” -lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes – along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and countless other species. The open plains provide excellent visibility, increasing the chances of witnessing thrilling predator-prey interactions. As the sun sets, return to your camp for a delicious dinner and a relaxing evening under the African sky.

After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive to explore the vast expanse of the Masai Mara. Your driver-guide will take you to prime wildlife-viewing areas, where you can observe the incredible biodiversity of this reserve. During the great migration season (July to October), you’ll witness one of nature’s most dramatic events as millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River. Even outside migration season, the Mara remains alive with wildlife activity year-round. Look out for prides of lions lounging under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains for prey, and elephants grazing peacefully. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Continue your game drive in the afternoon, exploring different terrains, from open plains to riverine forests, ensuring diverse wildlife encounters. As the day winds down, return to your camp for a well-deserved dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your preferred location, bringing your Masai Mara safari to an end.
